Enterprise Ireland has recently launched the Online Retail Support Scheme for Irish-owned businesses. Projects with minimum value of €20,000 up to max. €50,000 will be considered and the scheme provides grants of between €10,000 up to €25,000 on an 50% funded basis* to cover research, development, digital marketing, consultancy costs and training with a view to developing a sophisticated and transactional online presence.

(*Note: Companies that have previously received funding under the Online Retail Scheme can apply for a 2nd grant Companies that have already received 2 or more grants under the Online Retail Scheme are ineligible.)

The Online Retail Support Scheme is especially designed for Irish retailers and SME’s with at least 50% of sales from retail consumers, and who urgently need to enhance their digital capability, increase customer base from online channels and ultimately, create a strong business performance domestically and with the potential for future overseas sales from international markets.

Are You Eligible for the Online Retail Scheme Grant?

If you meet the following criteria you are qualified to apply for this grant scheme:

– Where a company provides both products and services, the applicant must provide a breakdown of sales revenue showing that products account for more than 50% of total revenue for a recent trading period, which may be up to the call close date;
– Where a company has a mixture of business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) operations, the applicant must provide a breakdown of sales revenue showing that sales from B2C activities account for more than 50% of total revenue for a recent trading period, which may be up to the call close date.

How Can You Apply for the Online Retail Scheme Grant?

Application must be made via the Enterprise Ireland Online Application System.

The Deadline for Applications is Wednesday 3rd May 2023 at 12 noon.

Enterprise Ireland will host an Online Retail Scheme online webinar at 2pm on 18th April 2023 to outline the application and evaluation process for applications for the Online Retail Scheme.

IMPORTANT: Please note that together with the online application companies MUST provide latest statutory accounts (no more than 2 years old) directly to Enterprise Ireland before the call close date. Upon submission of the Online Application Form you will receive an email with details of where to submit these accounts.

How is my application evaluated?

Enterprise Ireland will carry out an evaluation of all eligible applications using the following criteria:

Manufacturing or International Trading Service Companies with MORE than 10 Employees
